What happens when no one is watching

An unread notification in DEHú does not disappear — it is automatically deemed delivered after 10 days. And that triggers real consequences.

01

Final tax assessments

If you fail to respond on time to an AEAT request, the provisional tax assessment automatically becomes final. With no possibility of appeal.

02

Surcharges of up to 20%

Missing deadlines on debt notifications triggers automatic surcharges of 5%, 10% or 20% depending on the time elapsed, plus late-payment interest.

03

Seizures with no further notice

Once a debt enters enforcement, the AEAT can seize bank accounts, real estate or commercial credit without having to notify you again.

04

Lapsed traffic fines

DGT (Spanish Traffic Authority) notifications in DEHú activate appeal periods and early-payment discounts. If unmanaged, fines grow and you lose the 40% discount.

05

Loss of grants and refunds

Decisions on subsidies, grants and refunds are also notified through DEHú. Failing to accept them on time can mean losing the right to collect them.

06

Tax inspections without preparation

Notices opening tax inspection proceedings arrive via DEHú. Finding out late removes the documentation-prep window that often makes the difference.

What we do for you every day

It's not an automatic reminder. It's a human team that reviews, interprets and acts on every notification before any deadline runs out.

Daily DEHú monitoring

We access your DEHú mailbox every working day. Any new notification is detected the same day — not after 5 or 9 days.

Full agency coverage

AEAT, Social Security Treasury, DGT, Ministry of Labour, Canary Islands Tax Authority and any other body that uses DEHú or the AEAT mailbox.

Instant alert with deadline

As soon as we detect a new notification, we send you an alert via email or WhatsApp with the type, issuing body and the exact number of days you have to respond.

Classification and urgency

Not all notifications are equal. We classify each by type (request, assessment, seizure, communication) and urgency level.

Response handling included

In the full plans we don't just alert you: we draft and submit the responses, statements of allegations or appeals before the administration.

Complete history

Chronological log of every notification received, action taken and deadline met. Documentation available to evidence compliance.

What happens day by day without monitoring

The clock starts the moment the notification lands in DEHú — even if you have not opened it.

The notification arrives in DEHú

The AEAT, Social Security or another agency deposits the notification in your mailbox. The legal deadline starts to run regardless of whether you have read it.

Notification is automatically deemed delivered

Even if you have not opened DEHú, the law considers the notification served. From here, the appeal, allegation or voluntary-payment deadlines start counting.

Appeal and payment deadlines expire

Depending on the type of notification, the deadlines to appeal, file allegations, pay with discount or submit documentation expire. After this, the debt enters enforcement or the assessment becomes final.

What people ask us

What is DEHú and why does it matter?
DEHú (Dirección Electrónica Habilitada única) is the official Spanish electronic mailbox where the AEAT, Social Security and over 13,000 public bodies send notifications with full legal effect. The catch is that a notification is automatically considered "delivered" after 10 days even if you have not opened it, which triggers appeal deadlines and can lead to penalties if not acted upon in time.
Don't I get automatic alerts from DEHú itself?
DEHú can send automatic alerts to the email you have registered — but only if it is correctly configured, the email address has not changed, and the alerts don't end up in spam. In practice, many self-employed and businesses don't have this alert set up or don't actively monitor it. Our service is an additional security layer with daily human verification and active alerting.
Do you need access to my digital certificate?
No. To access DEHú on your behalf we need a representation authorisation before the AEAT, which we arrange ourselves as part of the onboarding process. We use our own legal representation — the correct and secure way to manage third-party mailboxes.
Can I subscribe to monitoring without full advisory services?
Yes, the service is fully independent. You can subscribe even if you have another tax advisor or manage your accounting yourself. When we detect a notification, we forward it to you with all the information so that you or your advisor can handle it.
What happens if I receive an inspection or seizure notification?
Those are exactly the type of notifications this service exists for. When detected, we alert you immediately via WhatsApp and email with maximum-urgency classification. In plans that include response, our team contacts you the same day to assess the situation and define the strategy.
